Located on the second floor of 109MEN's building in Shibuya, this coffee place is very easy to spot and get to! I've seen pictures of this place from J's FB photos and decided to make a trip there one evening after dinner!
The wood decor of this place seems to evoke a sense of coffee shops in the 60s, infused with European elements. Even the coffee cups used here reminds me of kopi cups used in SG.
This is Hoshino's specialty hand drip coffee, served hot (600 yen).
The highlight was probably the incredibly thick and fluffy Strawberry Souffle Pancake (780 yen). They have pancakes on their regular menu, but these strawberry pancakes make an appearance during the spring season. The pancake is awesome- it's not those thin pancakes, in fact it's rather thick and plump. The insides of the pancake are spongy soft and fluffy. Pour in the maple syrup provided and you get a very satisfying pancake dish! The pancake comes with fresh strawberry slices, strawberry ice cream and strawberry sauce, which will definitely make any strawberry lover swoon with joy.
